PRODUCTION ASSISTANT (FIXED TERM, PART-TIME)

The Team at PURE New Zealand Ice Cream has a simple mission - to create only the purest and most natural artisan ice creams, giving Kiwis and our visitors reassurance they are tasting the most delicious ice creams handmade from the best produce New Zealand has to offer.

The role will involve assisting the Ice-Cream Makers in all aspects from stock control and co-ordinating orders, to labelling and packing our delicious product for dispatch over the busy summer period.

This role would suit someone with:


• Heaps of common sense

• No issues around mucking in
• Commitment to working between 15 and 20 hours a week. Every day, Monday to Friday, for 3 to 4 hours a day, typically between 9am and 1pm.

• A high level of personal hygiene

• An ability to safely lift heavy loads – up to 20kg
• Experience using UpStock (or equivalent ordering platform) is beneficial
• The legal right to work in NZ

Our small team is a family – one where we have each other’s backs. So, you will need to fit in, be self-driven, proactive and a hard worker. Of course, this role will involve the critical role of tasting – as we’ll need to know each batch is perfect! We will of course commit to training you in all aspects, while experience in a similar role is beneficial it is not a requirement.

This role is a fixed term starting in September 2026 (start date to be mutually agreed), ending 26 February 2027. For the right candidate, the role could expand to include Ice Cream Maker duties…
